Not sure what "it's all gravy" means. Does it mean the reviews (the gravy) makes the music (the meat) more tasty/acceptable/palletable?

Do you remember that classic track from the 80s, In The Navy? And how at school everyone thought they were pretty smart by changing it to In The Gravy?
