On Sunday we spent as much of the afternoon as we could with the ponies. Zorro was very well behaved, Small was a little more unexpected...
He isn't used to working in the rain because they don't tend to do it much, but he seemed quite full of himself. When
sleepsy_mouse put him on the 22' line he decided it was time for running around...

...as fast as he could...

...jumping up and down...

...and generally being a tit.
Bless him, he was very excited so
sleepsy_mouse decided to let him off the line and see what he did. Which turned out to be a mixture of being dramatic, playing, and going to talk to the pony in the field by the school and annoying her fieldmate who is convinced he is an 18hh 8-year-old stallion and not a 12hh 35-year-old gelding.

Wheeling off to go for a run.

I love the way this one focussed just on his face as he goes trotting away.

This autumn has had some of the most amazing colours I think I have ever seen and although for the week or so they were at their height we barely saw the sun, it was still stunning. A little past their peak by the start of this week, but this gives an idea of what the boys' field has been like.

Zorro, looking dramatic against the morning sky.
