Sunday we are playing live on BBC Southern Counties radio, on their "South:Live" show. This is exciting for us- we had some industry interest after our demo was played on the station a few months back and it may well be the biggest audience we have ever played to.

Now, I can tell that you're thinking "that's all well and good, but how does it affect me?" That is a very understandable question to ask and my response is to tell you that thanks to the magic of what boffins call "teh intarweb!!!1" (no, I don't understand it either- it's some kind of science talk) even you could hear this unique and one-off performance. If you look on this page you will see there is a "Listen Live" link on the bottom right so that you can just switch on your PC on Sunday night between seven and nine o clock and enjoy that sumptuous Sequoia sound that refreshes your body, stimulates your mind and waters your houseplants.

Go on- you might just enjoy it!

you might want to get over that one. it's kind of important, what with the whole playing live thing being kind of the point of being in a band. that said, I know exactly what that fear of performing is like, as anyone who's ever been in bands with me would no doubt testify; i almost quit before the first gig that i ever did, as it seemed really unreasonable that my bandmates weren't all terrified. luckily, I got over it, and it never quite goes away. you just have to take the fact that you're frightened and treat it like war...

If you do a load of gigs it does go away after a while. If you've got a rate of one every two weeks or so the stage fright subsides after a couple of months although it comes back for bigger shows, or radio broadcasts, I discovered last night.

I think the war on fear may just be the next major US political intiative.
