On Sunday evening we got to enjoy our christmas present from my brother, which was two tickets to see Barenaked Ladies play in Southampton. Their latest album(s - and when was the last time a double album was actually better for being twice as long as a regular one) are not overly striking but you really cannot miss when you see them live because the surreal improvisations, and general hilarity in between songs and the combination of clever lyrics and awesome musicianship during them mean that it's never dull even if some of the newer material lacks the absolute pop genius of their earlier stuff.

Also, support was provided by Boothby Graffoe. If you ever get the chance to see him live you should- he is absolutely hilarious.
