It starts with love for foliage and ends in camouflage

First update from my new PC. After waiting for weeks for Dabs to send me the parts, then spending days trying to work out why windows wasn't working- it turns out I had an OEM licence, tied to the hardware in the machine, so a change of motherboard, memory and processor mean't I didn't have a copy of windows any more. Very weak indeed. Everything sorted now, and I am using the flatscreen monitor that was half of our wedding present from my brother (the other half being a flat-screen monitor for lou) for the first time - that is very cool too. Other things I have to thank my brother for include his copy of windows XP, which I have stolen to get this machine running and a copy of the Matthew Jay album. I think that's quite a lot to thank someone for.

Today was supposed to be all about smashing aviaries, but it turned out to be all about rain and miserable weather so there was no smashing party this time. I'll get you next time, big skanky aviaries...

Now I have a PC again I have no excuse not to get down to the serious work of various pc related tasks I need to get on with, notably rewriting the taffsite. In the light of this, I shall stop wasting my time updating my LJ and go play Morrowind with everything turned up to max, because I can.

With the impending update of the taff site does it mean it'll be yorkie proof and thus allow me to have a log-on now?

I don't believe that any truly Yorkie-proof system has ever been built. I'm not sure such a thing can exist, but I'll do the best I can...
