glenatronToday the required parts for fixing my PC arrived and I have spent most of the evening screwing them in. To my absolute astonishment (I am not one of nature's engineers) I switched it on and the whole thing got as far as trying to start Windows before crashing horribly. Normally I use a combination of ineptness and static to fry parts, plug things in upside down and generally make a hash-up of the whole affair, so this is something by way of a small miracle. I should be able to repair my Windows installation from the CD. If only I hadn't lost my Windows XP CD I'd be pretty much there.
The British Sea Power album is still getting better with every listen. This evening I was thinking it may be the best album of the last 5 years, but that puts it up against the first Tom McRae album which is stiff competition indeed. It is still in the ascendant though- I have no idea where it may stop or when I will get bored with it. I mean for goodness sake just read the lyrics! Pure essence of fantastic.
