Today I went on an epic mission of self-discovery. Actually it was more an epic mission of being really late to a meeting with my biggest client so far. Not physically biggest, but the one with the most work for me to do.
Trouble is, the meeting was in Essex and I got caught out by the age-old "M25 turns into the M20 if you're not paying attention" joke played by really annoying road-planners in Kent. I was almost half way to Dover before I realised my mistake and by the time I got back to the M25 it was 4:00 and the traffic was picking up. Then I got caught out by a "not junctions, bridges" problem that took me miles too far down the A12 because there was no way to get off the road. I arrived at my 3:00 meeting at about 5:30. It was a good meeting, but not good enough to justify that journey.
