Oh, hey there LJ.
Sorry I have been quiet for the last month or so- Nanowrimo happened and having decided to partake I felt the need to finish the job. Pretty relieved it is now December and I don't have a word count hanging over me, but also feel like I should probably finish the story I was writing, or at least the first half of it, having written so many words by this point. I am probably 2-5000 words off the end of the first half of the story, which would be a suitable stopping point, so I might see if I can reach that.
I actually learned a lot about my writing process and some of my strengths and weaknesses. I suspect when I go back with a more literate/editorial hat on later I'll notice more of the latter, but then that is the purpose of the exercise.
While that was going on, we also moved out of our house in Hindhead and are currently staying at my Parents' place while the purchase of a new flat goes through. The house we are staying in is nice and apparently we get to have it to ourselves from next weekend as my parents spontaneously decided to go and visit Costa Rica. As you do. Being retired is apparently awesome. Part of the moving process involved realising how much junk I own that I need to bin before we get into a one bedroom flat. I think there will be more of that to come, too.
Zorro, after months of box rest, is starting to go out in a small pen in the field. He explodes impressively on the way out and when he gets in there. Sometimes also on the way in, but he does mostly look moderately sound in spite of this, which is hopeful.

herecirm continues to be a very happy thing- it has been absolutely brilliant from my point of view just living together consistently over the last few months. I am really looking forward to our first Christmas together.
