Glimpses of Singapore
5 May 2011 19:22So following on from my last post, a few more thoughts on Singapore, and the same ones repeated with pictures...

This was actually my last evening at Silversand, a Galah flying over as they noisily got ready to roost, but it was such a jammy photo I deemed it worth sharing.

Now this is Singapore. It was looking at the sky at this point that I thought, "hmmm, there may be a touch of rain on the way."

Three skyscrapers with a ship along the top. When I heard the term "shipbuilding" I had no idea this is what they meant.

Seems I was right about the rain. I thought this awning was doing little to protect me as the splashback from those waterfalls was still enough to get you pretty wet. Then I dashed across to an indoor area and realised that actually it had been doing a pretty good job.

They have skyscrapers and everything. I bet this view is spectacular after dark.

Colonial and modern buildings.
Also a few businesses and other objects that caught my notice:

My natural home.

Nothing says "wedding" more strongly than the name "Golden Horse Awards." Except, you know, everything.

I heard that Nelly is so durty she loves Benedict Cumberbatch.

No more pies for that bird!

Those sky-scrapers are spectacular, and I'm seriously impressed by their idea of rain.
