A tough week in work left me very tired, and then yesterday Zorro was in a very handfully mood when we rode out. He wasn't actually doing very much but he would have taken over completely the moment I stopped riding every single stride. I think today we will do some schooling. I may be riding charming Xefira as well which will probably be a good deal less of a dispute over the steering.

sleepsy_mouse meanwhile is off visiting Joe today, as she was yesterday. Poor patchy cob is ill again and has been very bad this week with something wrong in his hind foot- possibly an abscess but after five days poulticing it hasn't come through anywhere and with his front legs so arthritic he finds it very hard to stand or move. He is already on as many painkillers as he can take and unless things have changed significantly today I think kindness only really leaves us one option.

Oh, no. I'm sorry to hear that. I hope he turns around - he seems like such a tough little guy - but if there's nothing left to be done I hope you'll both feel the comfort of knowing you've made the most compassionate choice. ((hugs))
