I'm very slightly famous.

The moot was really good fun- nice to see most of the Crew there and good to have another weekend where the Jackals were feeling competent. It seemed quite small though - I don't know if it was the weather or the fact it is now 50 quid on the door - we hadn't realized this and suddenly found a big chunk gone from our weekend budget. I doubt we can afford to get to the off moot now and that may well be a factor in the very small monster crew for the sunday mosh. Normally the final battle at the moots makes some sort of sense but on Sunday I had absolutely no idea why that was going on. Currently I'm following the Mark Adams' theory that it was an attack of the "oh shit we've got no crew what has lots of hits?" monsters. Fun to play (respect to Ram as solar standard bearer and the followers of Waspor for providing a very high standard of sun) but it felt a lot smaller and less dangerous than previous moots battles I've played and monstered over the last few years.

that true level of high style nirvana has yet to be reached...

and I think you're right about the monsters. there were some moments with loads, but not many for the big battles. I think the LT have taken this into account, with their preponderance of Illithids and other such beguilement being a really good excuse to get players monstering. that's my excuse, anyway...

Milton "12 beguiles" Scarborough is a useful guy to have around. He's kind of like a beguilement sponge who sacrifices himself so everyone else can survive.

Have started to suspect that the gate price is cos the LT love fireworks more than they love larp...
