This morning when
sleepsy_mouse was taking him out to the field, Zorro managed to bite her, catching her whole shoulder between his teeth. As usual when he does this he was mostly being a bit playful so he didn't really bite hard, but it was enough to be quite a shock for her and left her aching for the rest of the day.
In the evening he was in an even more cantankerous mood, so after a proper tantrum coming out of the field I took him straight down to the school and we did some very high-energy work. A couple of times his response to fairly normal requests on my part included standing up absolutely vertical in a full-on and well balanced fashion. It seemed that he mostly wanted to shift a bit of energy and to understand that things are still the same between us- he keeps listening to me and doesn't try to kill me, try to grab the rope out of my hand or flatten me and I don't make life too hectic and we can run and move and generally shift some of the life in our feet. It was tempestuous and challenging but eventually pretty good fun and by the end he was just tuned in really well to everything I was asking for. We'll see what kind of mood he's in tomorrow.
