News from a small island

Eigg is in the news - and in a good way. It was a regular family holiday destination when I was small and we last visited a couple of summers ago, so I have a slight connection with the place. Since the islanders finally managed to buy their way out of feudal rule ( and the control of an asset-stripping german fraudster ) about ten years ago the island has gone from strength to strength. Having regular electricity will make a really big difference there.
