Three day weekend
19 February 2006 20:57That was a pretty good weekend, really. Thursday night wen't fairly well and I was very surprised and pleased when
life_of_tom and
kittyfantastico turned up in the venue. They stayed over Thursday night, and came out with us in the afternoon when we took ponies out on an expedition- we didn't get as far as we would have liked but we went as far as they could cope with; we couldn't have asked any more of Othello. In the evening my brother came around and we had Tacos - Tom had to get to work so I took them to the station and when I got back Gwyn (
nohotashes), Lucy and
shanks01 had arrived so the party continued long into the night. They all seemed very excited about the prospect of Serenity LRP. From the sound of it running round with toy guns shouting "bang" at people is the way forward.
On Saturday Lou's parents came over and took us out to lunch and then we all had dinner at my parents' house. I am now officially fat and well fed.
As so often happens after something that one has looked forward to for ages, I find myself at a slight loose end - I hadn't really thought past this weekend and suddenly life is continuing as normal.
Incidentally, if anyone shares my enjoyment of PC gaming and cheesy nineties Sci-fi then you may be interested by the prospect of a Babylon 5 space shooter - it's made by fans but the production values are very high. I can't decide whether I like it, though- turns out Starfuries are exceptionally difficult to fly.
