I've just discovered that breathing in the same room as my socks is not currently a feasible option, just in case you were wondering about that.

Just back from our evening show at the rather delightful Watlington Festival - a little village festival at the foot of the Cotswolds with a stage in a tent in a little sunny park and Red Kites circling overhead. Very relaxed and enjoyable but unfortunate in that we had to dash away from the Heartlands fairly early to get back in time to play there. Apologies to anyone we didn't have time to say goodbye to properly and congratulations to the small raging drowe who so eloquently threatened Shanks into getting to the games on time. As we left it seemed like there was a bunch of stuff kicking off between the faction camps- does anyone know what was going on there?

The Heartlands themselves were a lot of fun- this year's highlights were the Monster Pit where we (and by "we" I mostly mean "Kindling") managed to beat the extreme mayhem monster attack, the game of Jugger so epic that it caused a rip in the fabric of reality and Wakim De Plank experimenting with a trap on the Monster hunt. It was a shame to have to dash back for the Newbury Fringe Festival on Saturday but it did mean we could get the warm robes we had left at home and it was another good show. I have booked both Moots and the Gathering off from the band so there should be no more gig commuting at this year's majors...
