We have planned and prepared as best we can and I am beginning to suspect that if it hasn't featured in our plans by now it's not going to. A week from now it will be our last night before we are married and that will probably be the best time to realize all the other things that we hadn't thought of and are about to scupper our plans. Today Lou received enough confectionary to build her own sweet shop. The opportunities for our guests to make themselves very sick are many and various...
If any of you are in charge of managing the weather I would gratefully appreciate it if you could arrange for the 18th of september to be sunny. None of our oracles are confident beyond Wednesday ( sunny, apparently ) but they do seem to think that there will probably be high pressure over the country for the rest of the month which at leasts gives us a fighting chance.
Last night we went out to the pub in Farnham with a few old friends. It was a really good evening - I drank a surprisingly small amount of strong beer and became very silly. I haven't been out to any local pub since we moved here and it was great fun. Something to be repeated more frequently in future, I hope.
