A week from now I will be a married man, probably on a plane moving rapidly in the direction of California. Maybe We'll even be in San Francisco by then. I'm really looking forward to it. I am a little nervous about the wedding - people do keep asking me whether I am and being asked about it makes it sound a bit like I should be afraid, which makes it more scary. It is kind of academic whether or not Lou and I are married- we belong to one another and there is no question of us ever not wanting to be together so the marriage is essentially a legal formality and a good excuse to see all our friends and have a big old party with them. This is the important part. Also, bouncy castles and chocolate wedding cakes are fun.

This evening we had a long band meeting to discuss how we will go about releasing the new CD and then taking photos for the artwork- we didn't take my picture, though, I have vetoed any photos of me until I have had my super-dorky hair cut to a state of maximum dashingness. I don't want to be stuck with the worst hair I have had this century on the cover of a CD I could be dealing with for years to come. The trouble with putting most of Sequoia in a room together to talk about stuff ( Andy was absent because he is off having adventures in the USA ) is that although we talked about a lot of things, they weren't necessarily the things we needed to talk about and we mostly ended up discussing the joys of Goldie Lookin' Chain and the time when Pearl Jam decided to drive from England to Poland in a 2CV just to stick it to The Man. Everybody loves it when someone sticks it to The Man.

We have some pictures now, though, and I am really looking forward to see what Phil (our designer) does with them all.
