Crisis to disaster and back again

Over on sleepsy_mouse's journal are a couple of posts about the state of the Small. This week has brought us a positive diagnosis and a desperate rush to the Equine Hospital so far. What amazing luck we have.

Is the colic related to his illness?

Our fear is that it's related to the medication for his illness, as he went on the new antibiotics a day before this began.

That could really be a problem as it seems like the Anaplasmosis only responds to this family of antibiotics...

Up and down still, he seems fine and then he has another attack. They want to check his stomach with an endoscope see if that shows anything- his hindgut doesn't seem too bad as yet.
