We just played an acoustic set at Bracknell's increasingly expensive "Unplugged and Intimate" night and afterwards we had the bane of pub bands everywhere, the middle-aged drunk bloke, come wandering up and shake our hands and explain that the problem was that I was sitting down to play "yes, that's because it's an acoustic night," Mic needed to play with a bit more freedom "he does, when it's not an acoustic night," and Chris needed to have an electric guitar to really cut loose "not on a fucking acoustic night, granddad, that's why they call it an Acoustic Night."

It's always nice to have someone who knows absolutely nothing tell you how do do something that is one of your areas of personal expertise.

Now I've seen a lot of pub pands come and go and i can say from experience - if you want to be a hit with the crowd play 'Black Night'. Never fails.
