Do we find ourselves face to face with the man who sold the world?

My camera is now in pieces on the living room table. Half way through the fixing process my little tiny screwdriver broke, but I didn't know it had for ages because it's one of the ones with the thin metal body around a very thin screwdriver tip and the tip broke off like the lead in the pencil so I was able to turn the body and it stayed still. Took me ages to work out that was going on. I haven't been able to find another yet, though I'm sure we have one somewhere, so we'll probably need some.

Today I went to the saddle shop to get my stirrup bar fixed but the saddler there also said he doesn't work with treeless saddles. What would have been useful would have been if they had maybe said that over the phone when I phoned them up a couple of days ago specifically to ask whether they could fix a treeless saddle. Nice one, guys.

Gmail was being increasingly slow, I wondered whether it was something going wrong with Opera or some incompatibility with a new version of the code, but deleting all my gmail associated cookies fixed it.

Preparing to move house turns out to be a very dusty process indeed.

tesco sells miniscule screwdriver sets, I bought some the other day for glasses fixing.

I recognised the type too, they're fairly good ones.

if you're on opera, it's worth checking play.com Recently they screwed up the code and you got a page saying "we accept drawings of spiders"

not sure if it still does though

Everybody should accept drawings of spiders. As long as they have eight legs at any rate.

"But they fired this magic bullet at themselves."

Ahhh, that made me laugh...even though its not really funny that banks f***ed up so much. The idea of David Bowie starting it certainly is.

And yes, everyone should accept drawings of spiders. especially if they're purple magical spiders with only 7 legs...

I saw him live once at a festival, but he was very far away and it was before I knew I needed spectacles, so it was pretty hard to make out what was going on...

I've seen him live and even met him briefly back stage -- but he was the thin, white duke then...not the middle aged man!
