We finally had a whole weekend of nice weather.

It was really good on sunday to be able to do a bit of field tidying in the dry.

It turns out all roads really do lead to Small.

We went out for a ride as well:

[livejournal.com profile] sleepsy_mouse and Small are in the lead as usual. The heather is starting to turn and even the birches are beginning to get a tiny bit autumnal. They don't normally do that for a few weeks yet, as I recall it.

Using the rare medium of bright sunlight I have cunningly contrived to make Zorro appear photoshopped into this picture...

It was a lovely day for a ride and then we went straight from the yard to a lesson at Julian's place on his lovely spanish horse and today I can only just walk.

I'm starting to feel a bit coldy too, so it's time for an early night- can't be off colour for the clinic.

Small certainly is a special pony.

I love where you go riding. It looks so peaceful.

He is indeed. We have a few other pictures of me trying to take a picture while he tries to eat the strap off my camera.

It is a lovely area. Did you read any of the Punchbowl Farm books? I think they were by Monica Edwards

Smaller than Zorro and Joe. He's probably around 14.2hh - certainly he's lived on yards that didn't accept ponies, but he had to wear platforms to get in.

In spite of probably being a horse on technicalities, he is definitely a pony.

Small is actually taller than Joe. Joe's 14.3, Small is 15hh but not quite as wide (let's face it, few things in life are as wide as Joe!)

But yes, he's totally a pony, he has such a pony brain!

After seeing hacking pics from you and [livejournal.com profile] evil_c ... I think the only thing for it is for me to move South. I'll convince Elf to bring the Shires too, of course. :P
