The first fine weather in the last six weeks or so and we're off in London for the day. Typical.

I've no complaints about the day, though, the musical we went to see was wicked. As I insisted on pointing out at regular intervals through the day.

Also on matters theatrical, you may recall that we went to see the beautiful but heart-rending War Horse at the National Theatre. Looks like they're doing another run so if you're feeling like sobbing your heart out for a while, it's worth a look.

Off to our end-of-the-summer Steve clinic on Thursday. I'm looking forward to it a lot- the end of my most intensive and rewarding summer of horsemanship education. Here's hoping Zorro and I can manage something a bit special to wrap it up...

What did you see?

I think WarHorse would be too much for me to see. I'd cry a lot! :)

Yeh, I'm seeing War Horse on Thursday. Is it really that depressing? I've been incredibly weepy over horses lately. I just cried over that scene in Neverending Story when Atreyu's horse is overcome by the Sadness and dies. >_<

It's a very moving story and very well portrayed.

It was one of the hardest things I've ever sat through. We had pretty much front row seats and I haven't cried that hard in public for years.

But maybe I'm just a soppy mare.

I thought it was brilliant. You will cry though, no question. I'm a little teared up just thinking about it.

The history it raises is literally horrifying on every level.
