Listening to From The Choirgirl Hotel, one of the more mixed albums from Tori Amos' often brilliant career, and finding it hard to believe that this record and the memories it is associated with are ten years ago. I used to listen to the softer songs from it each night as I was going to sleep during that time.

Ten years since my finals, since I started getting back into Live Roleplay and meeting some of the brilliant friends I still treasure now. That's a big number of years. If I went back ten years from there I wasn't even in my teens. It's not far off a third of a lifetime.

I think I shall go on iTunes and download Tranquiliser by Geneva. Let us be happy while we are still young.

The new job is pretty cool. I feel a bit like I've gone to big school - it's a long time since I worked in a office with more than five or six people in it and a couple of years since I worked in an office at all. I'm sure there's all this politics going around under the surface but everyone seems friendly and welcoming and hopefully some day I'll remember all their names.

one of my alltime favorite albums...from the day it came out to this. I love some of the lyrics from spark (she's addicted to nicotine patches...) as well as liquid diamonds and playboy mommy. But I was a huge tori fan ten years ago...back in the days when I didn't own a horse and actually spent money on music and clothes and stuff. :P Her music brings me back through time and space as well.

Glad your new job is going well. Enjoy the honeymoon period. :]

I'm very fond of a lot of her music, I think probably the studio half of To Venus And Back is my favourite but she has done really well for most of her career. Only that covers album and the most recent one have really left me cold.

I don't have so much of a chance to listen to music or I have lately started listening more to the radio. Not sure why it's happened, but I really need to go back to listening to albums a bit.
