God, who painted that?
15 May 2008 23:14Listening to From The Choirgirl Hotel, one of the more mixed albums from Tori Amos' often brilliant career, and finding it hard to believe that this record and the memories it is associated with are ten years ago. I used to listen to the softer songs from it each night as I was going to sleep during that time.
Ten years since my finals, since I started getting back into Live Roleplay and meeting some of the brilliant friends I still treasure now. That's a big number of years. If I went back ten years from there I wasn't even in my teens. It's not far off a third of a lifetime.
I think I shall go on iTunes and download Tranquiliser by Geneva. Let us be happy while we are still young.
The new job is pretty cool. I feel a bit like I've gone to big school - it's a long time since I worked in a office with more than five or six people in it and a couple of years since I worked in an office at all. I'm sure there's all this politics going around under the surface but everyone seems friendly and welcoming and hopefully some day I'll remember all their names.

Date: 16 May 2008 22:09 (UTC)I don't have so much of a chance to listen to music or I have lately started listening more to the radio. Not sure why it's happened, but I really need to go back to listening to albums a bit.
