It has been sat on the shelf near my computer for some time now. Two years, near enough. Mostly I've been able to ignore it, but from time to time I hear it whispering and after
sleepsy_mouse has been out being sociable a few nights a week and left me home alone the whispering has been getting louder.
I tried to drown it out playing Oblivion, but I've completed most of the big plots on the main game and the Shivering Isles expansion is just a bit too crazy and out there to be appealing. Jade Empire was fun but then I finished it.
I've been able to resist it up to now, but I think peer pressure, the endless whispering and
shanks01 have finally broken my will. I wanted to resist, and I think I did a pretty good job of it, but now, the knife is out, the old cellophane is being cut...
Oh! There is an inner box also wrapped in cellophane... maybe I should just play something else (I have Rome: Total War lying about somewhere but it's amazingly hard ) or make another start at my own game writing project - although the game I want to create is far too ambitious for a one-man team and will need a whole lot of modelling, texturing, animation and other arty skills I am far from mastering. It keeps me challenged though, and if I ever did finish it I would have made something I could be proud of and maybe sell a few copies of... Hmmm... maybe I'll just go and make a cup of tea and think on things a minute more...
