We went off to see Motorhead and Alice Cooper in Cardiff last night. It was great fun- they are very much
sleepsy_mouse music more than mine, but Motorhead are so ROCK that you could hear Lemmy actually wrestle every single syllable to the ground before forcing them out of his mouth and Alice is just the ultimate showman. Also I think
sleepsy_mouse may have been more than slightly in love with Alice's guitarist, Guitaragorn. That's possibly not his real name, but it's a good description.
After the show we went and got lost in Cardiff. In fact, Google maps indicates to me that we got lost for most of the distance from Cardiff to Caerphilly. Rubbish. The increasingly small country lane and dark scary forests weren't confidence inspiring, although we were tempted to go to the single lonely farmhouse and ask if we could borrow their phone we thought better of it.
We found our way out eventually and escaped off to our hosts
spoondog and
spoon_doom's house only an hour later than we expected to.
This morning it was tasty breakfast in Swansea ( apparently being grownups we no longer have to go to the Uplands Diner and can justify the classy cafe two doors up) and seeing some other Swansea friends. It was awesome to see everyone and I really enjoyed myself although every time I visit there I miss it a bit, or indeed a lot, although whether it is Swansea itself or having friends living in walking distance of home and being able to meet up for breakfast and then go off to the beach or out to play in Clyne woods afterwards is probably a part of it. It's years since I went out on Gower and I think we'll have to go back for at least a day some time soon.
Also, seeing Zelda on the Wii made me realise that I will have to get myself one at some point because it's Zelda only you can flail at things. Perfect!
