Twice! In one year!

We went to the cinema for the second time this year, to see Stardust. It was entertaining fluff of the highest order and very enjoyable to go with it.

It was good to see my friend shanks01 portrayed by an actor as serious as Robert De Niro.

Also the trailer for The Golden Compass gave me hope- Nicole Kidman is perfectly cast, and Christopher Lee belongs in the Magisterum, although the daemons were a little bit CGI looking. I think it will be worth seeing, though. Well worth seeing.

Oh, I wanted to see Stardust so badly but we didn't get the chance to go to the theater. It looked so...*pretty.*

I'm excited about The Golden Compass too. I think it's supposed to come out around the holidays, and Husband and I are planning to take the kids. (We don't often go, so it's a bit of a treat when we do.)

The Phillip Pullman ones are a tough call to make into a film because the books are so amazing, I really hope they pull it off, though.
