Really looking forward to the clinic we're going to this weekend- it's running at the yard belonging to our friend Kerin ( who owns Zorro ) so expect the pictures in my report to have some rather wonderful views in the background. I've wanted to see Tom Widdicombe at work for a long time now, so this is a really good opportunity, doubly so for
sleepsy_mouse and Small Pony who get to work with him direct.
On Monday the epic house fixenating begins. By some freak chance the various things we needed to get done, including a new boiler as we've had no central heating since June (wouldn't have been a problem most summers), a long-awaited new bathroom (goodbye Avocado bath-suite of doom and water bucket catching drips from the cistern) and new windows will all be getting sorted in the same week which means my workplace is going to be pretty noisy and hectic. It will be worth it, though, when the work is done.
Then we're away for a week long Silversand clinic the week after. Once again we get to spend our wedding anniversary camping in a field. Very romantic. The last few years of clinics have been ever so inspiring to me and after the work I've been putting in this summer I think I'm ready to get a lot from this one. The only concern is leaving Joe so much so shortly after he has been ill. He'll be well looked after but it is a little nervewracking.

Date: 7 Sep 2007 13:11 (UTC)I'm not even put off by the thought of a 5am start!
Small pony will be having a bath this evening, in the interests of having him vaguely less beige and slightly more presentable in the morning. And, of course, I will be frantically baking this evening - I wouldn't dare show up at a clinc without cake!
Wheeee!!!!
