This character popped out of his burrow to watch us bring dinner to Joe this evening in classic Watership Down style. Very bless and, given a couple more months to grow, probably an ideal casserole ingredient.
The ones at our yard are just so fearless it's amazing. This picture was zoomed as far as I could get it so it doesn't go any bigger than this, but today I got a picture of one who was about six feet away just by waiting at the end of the burrow. In fact I may post that picture cos it's like this only better.
There are just amazing numbers around the place, especially given that both our Yard Owner and one his friends are regularly out with their rifles...
