glenatronMy new belt finally arrived in the post last week, so today was my first lesson where I actually had a black belt. I didn't think it was going to feel any different to usual, but we only had a couple of students along and both my instructors found they had important things to do and left me to take the class.
Which wasn't what I expected.
The good news is that I think it went OK. Not great, but not terrible either and I think the students quite enjoyed it. Hopefully I didn't teach anyone anything that was palpably wrong and we stuck with the basics and simple extensions so I don't think it was beyond anyone.
A novel experience, at any rate.
