The gig last night went really well- Rob played fantastically well, chucking in some epic fills he'd kept quiet in rehearsal, the audience loved it and the whole thing was a very positive experience for everyone involved. The venue was good too- Guildford has needed a live music venue for a long time ( I would have seen a lot more live music when I was young if there had been one ) and it was really nice to be playing there to a good sized audience. As usual, headliners Big Wednesday were storming.
We're out in Bracknell on Tuesday night and up in London a week on Monday if anyone is in either of those areas and would like to come along. As usual, more details through the Sequoia site.
I also had my first lesson on Othello yesterday, not doing much; just enough that my teacher (one of our friends from the yard, a qualified instructor who is willing to work for cake ) could get an idea of where we are and what we don't know. Between that, the gig and the fact that I'm not entirely over the horrible sneezencold that was afflicting me last week I was pretty much wiped out today, although this was mitigated by the absolutely astounding roast duck my beloved made for dinner. Followed by apple crumble. Lou is best!
