Pumpkins, seagulls
1 November 2004 22:24Today was a big day for Sequoia- we played at Camden's moderately well known Barfly for the first time and our new CD finally went on sale - you can be one of the first people to get your own copy right here or pick one up at one of our many gigs over the next few weeks. This is the first time I have ever been on a proper CD and the whole thing looks and sounds fantastic- the design was all done by Helen from Newview and she has made an outstanding job of it, much easier to appreciate when you see the real thing than when you look at it on the screen or on a normal laserjet print-out. Somehow the CD seems to sound better now as well, although I can think of no rational explanation for that, so it's probably just my brain playing tricks on me.
The gig went very well and then I was able to help out the next band by lending their bass player my bass after his stopped working half way through the first song. Considering that he was using a borrowed fretless bass instead of his own fretted one I was impressed by his performance.
