This evening Lou and I used the last of the daylight to go to a woodland near home and find a whole lot of chestnuts. There is something uniquely satisfying about loading up on chestnuts and then going home and boiling them up into a very tasty if work-intensive snack. The wet conditions over the summer mean that this year has brought us some really good chestnuts and the recent winds have knocked many of them out of the trees- I would strongly recommend finding a nearby chestnut tree and picking a few up while the going is good.

In other news, friday was dedicated to an office day out in Paris which was a whole lot of fun and ended up with a whole lot of drunk on my part and possibly everyone else's and the artwork for the Sequoia CD is complete and looking fantastic and the CD heads out to the duplication company tomorrow. I just noticed that we are playing a gig in Aylesbury in a little over a month as well. That will be a fair drive...

CD?

Is it an oak tree? What you want to find is a bunch of young chestnut trees, perhaps 30-60 years old. Our picking spot was an old chestut coppice so the trees were mostly quite young and vital and there were loads of chestnuts. Tremendous job.

Yes, we went to paris for a "we've just finished a bunch of really big contracts" kind of a day out. We thought of doing something teambuildy, but then we thought eating snails and drinking wine was a better solution...

We'll be selling it online - I'm not sure how much it costs to post stuff to Cananadia but it can't be that much, so I'm sure it will be feasible. Otherwise, I'll save one for you and pass it on when we do our first Canadian tour...
