Today at work has been normal so far except that I've lost my job. It's not my fault - we don't have enough work on for the company to stay solvent so they've decided to shut it down- it's been a good five years and I'm certainly at the top of my game as a programmer so I have plenty to fall back on, but I'll miss the place and the people, though I'm sure we'll stay in touch.
I am feeling a strange mix of melancholy and exhilaration. Everything life gives you is an opportunity of some kind- I guess I just have to work out how to make the most of this one.

Date: 2 Nov 2005 02:17 (UTC)Also, fear not. Now is the perfect time to go into partnership with two men called Stu (that's me and the evil one) and make horrible music on the odd occasion as a band called the Three Stus. It's like the Three Johns but not. See what I did there?
