glenatronI'm pretty excited about tomorrow now.
Apparently one of the tracks on the album is likely to be played on Mariella Frostrup's Radio 2 show next week which will be our first national play. We narrowly missed the Radio 2 C-list, which is a real shame, but I'm really impressed by the work our promotions company are doing. Apparently Mark Riley was giving it a listen too- we don't yet have any feedback from that but knowing the hapless boy lard has heard my playing has a little frisson of it's own.
Today's Farnham Herald has an article on the band as well, as did last week's Surrey Advertiser so we're getting a lot of local media coverage at least - we're recording a session for DLT's regional BBC show next week.
I'm not really thinking past tomorrow night's show- it's been so much of an objective for so long that I can't imagine life without it looming over. I just hope that after all the build up we play well. Usually playing to a good audience is a big factor and it sounds a lot like we've got one of those on the way so here's hoping for the best. I know that we can be great and I really want us to prove that to the world tomorrow night...
