My offer of resignation was turned down, so I guess I get to stay where I am for the time being. That's pretty good news for me- it would have been very poor timing to have to be searching for a new job in addition to getting married and everything else that is going on at the moment.

The Gathering seems to have inspired a frenzy of frothing- everyone appears to have had a brilliant time- the downside of not living around a lot of larpers is that we no longer have so many people who understand while we gibber about how great it was. They just look at us as if to say "poor pathetic individuals who miss out on all the good things about the real world, like football and all the good films on tv at the bank holiday."

Ah, the relentless joy of the outsider...

I hoped that was going to happen. without giving away details you chose not to put on the web, the ironic thing is that with you having offered your resignation, and them seeing sense and refusing it, your reputation was probably enhanced by this; they know now that you're a man of integrity...
