Today I managed to finally persuade Lloyds TSB to let me access my bank account through the internet. That has in turn facilitated a the completion of a series of other tasks that I have been wanting to finish for about the last six months. I can now safely shift the money out of my account and close it, which I believe marks the conclusion of a subquest and should mark me out for some serious xp, a new heart container or somesuch.

I have come to hate Lloyds for various reasons including the fact that they refused their standard travel insurance package to my mum because she was going to go into chemo after she got back even though it was accident cover and didn't cover pre-existing conditions, the inept way they handle my granny's account and the fact that last time I went into a branch trying to get things done in a great hurry before my lunch break ended they through some irritating high pressure sales guy at me to make me subscribe to a set of overpriced extra services. I bank with Smile now which gives me that extra glow of knowing I'm not financing the international arms trade.

On Monday I walked Joseph Pony to his new field on the side of the hill. He was a little nervous of the walk - he tends to run for his life if taken out alone - but Charlie, who ran our previous yard came along on her lovely but slightly mad arab and Joe seemed very happy to follow her. He now has a big steep hill to live on but there is a bit more space than there is horse at the moment so we're looking for someone to share it with him. Not sure how that will pan out, but one way or another it is pretty much a guaranteed path to adventure!

Last Sunday Andy Longhair came to our afternoon practice session. We now have a piano player and an excellent one at that. He will be playing for a couple of songs this Sunday when we have the Acoustic Fridays compilation launch- the first product of High Desert Music and the first place the world in general will get to hear anything of the debut Sequoia album with the beautiful new recording of She Turns The Key. It's going to be an all-day show and it should be really good fun...
