Sometimes I feel like I give the impression that Zorro is just a bitey mean grump who gets stroppy really easily, so I thought I'd post some pictures from yesterday's session to see if they cleared things up...

Notice the lift of his chin and the tilt of his head- he's thinking about biting me.

What are those teeth doing?

I can see teeth again...

I think we might actually be concentrating here. Nice chunky cob.

When I'm riding I'm harder ( but not impossible ) to bite, so he just grumps instead if I ask him to go a different direction to the one he wanted to go in.
It seems that the combination of too much snow and not enough work has left [i]someone[/i] a tiny bit insubordinate.
Meanwhile other people continue to be cute:

Small has his reins tied off and doesn't mind because it's much like a hug.

Small's previous owner told us he was not the sort of horse you would be able to ride bareback in a halter. He still thinks its a weird thing to do, but he's certainly not freaking out about it...
