Thought I took some video of Zorro and I doing a whole bunch of schooling today, but when I looked at the memory card it turned out I had one clip where I was an almost invisible speck, a bunch of 0.1 second clips where it switched on and then off again instantly and one longer clip which constituted almost entirely of Zorro's nostrils. It's possible that I'm not cut out for video.

I should really video my sessions with Ozzy. I took my helmet cam out this weekend only to realize I'd left the memory card in my purse. So much for that idea1

I have a long history of using camcorders with a single "stop/start filming" button in a way that means I get out of sync with the button, switch it off when I want it on and vice versa and end up filming my feet and the inside of the camera bag.

In this case, just using a regular digital camera ( not mine, one that can focus ) I think the problem might have been with the camera trigger being a bit oversensitive and switching on and then off again while I tried to start it.

It didn't help that I couldn't see the camera and it was balanced on a tripod on top of a barrel on top of the mounting block and Zorro was keen to knock it all down.

Zorro was not very impressed about carrying a fully open tripod around at first too. He offered some very nice sideways thinking that might be the safest way to get away from it.

I took a dressage lesson a couple months ago and the woman filming did that. lots of her lap while she was talking to the instructor. Not of me riding.

I swear a switch with two positions for "filming" and "not filming" would be a massive usability win in terms of campcorder design. Or indeed camcorder design. A campcorder is similar but more gay.

I got some video filmed the other day, but it was too late in the day and came out as almost total darkness...
