glenatronFor much of the last week Hindhead has been covered in a relentless freezing fog that has left layer upon layer of frost on every leaf and blade of grass. Then, yesterday afternoon, the sun came out and all of the silver ice-blossoms covering the trees turned briefly to gold.

Beech twigs and hoarfrost.
The frost has mostly melted now, I think, with a little more sunshine. We still have snow in the garden though, icy and crystalline but still very much present. This is unusual for December here.
