So after my weird shoulder thing the other day, it's still a bit achy and weird-feeling but it does seem to have more movement so I think that was probably something that did need to happen.
So what other adventures have we been having? Well...

Yesterday we tacked up...

...and did this. Zorro was a total rock star- actually wanted to go ahead of
sleepsy_mouse who was leading Small out for his first post-operation walk and happy to trot off up the trail and just brilliant- really pleased.
Today, we went visiting our friend Karen. I spent some time providing scratchies and trying to detangle the mane and tail of a certain Tiny Pony, who looks a bit like this:

Then we brought Karen's arab, Celeb, in for a bit of a ride- she had a knee op a while back and it's taken much longer to heal than expected.

sleepsy_mouse rode him first, which was a pretty big honour as he's a very classy horse.

Then Karen rode him for the first time in ages.

Handsome pony. He hadn't forgotten a thing.
They took Celeb off for a walk, which TP and Fin found infuriating. Well, TP did, and if she was furious then Celeb was surely going to have to run about too.

Finally, after Celeb came back entirely unflustered by his fieldmates antics, Fin came in for a ride too...

So that was a nice afternoon.
On Tuesday we're off to France for a few days, so I may be quiet for the rest of the week. Hopefully it will be the kind of peaceful break that we've been unable to have for such a long time that we no longer have a concept of stopping any more. Of course, there are horses involved, but they're other people's horses and other people will be riding them and we'll just be watching and relaxing a little.
In other news a folk metal cover of "Rasputin" - watch it, it's brilliant.

Date: 2 Aug 2010 20:06 (UTC)The big chunky bay is TP, technically she's a small fat pony, I just crouched down to get more impressive camera angles :D
She's a hella-cute little lady, but certainly no taller than Pepsi. If she was fit and slim she wouldn't be that much wider, either...
