My shoulder feels a lot less painful than it did - mostly it now feels weird. I think the swelling is starting to go down, the immediate trauma is healing and my muscles and skin are realising there is now a piece of metal where there wasn't one before. Still sore, but less so.

It lets me know pretty quick if I have overdone things- a morning at the ponies yesterday had me exhausted and in pain - but I managed to walk to the yard on Friday, which is a couple of miles, and its really pleasant to be out of the house and to see my cob, even if we can't interact beyond scratchies. As far as he's concerned those are my main purpose anyways.

Having finished Zelda I got myself the delightfully beautiful/insane Okami and been enjoying exploring ancient japan as a wolf made of calligraphy. In spite of some quirky controls it has a lot of style and charm and I would recommend it to fellow Wii owners. Certainly of a family with other Zeldaesque greats such as Beyond Good and Evil and Psychonauts.

Okami is pretty much the WHOLE REASON I bought a Wii. My friend the professional gamer (okay, a programmer who now works for Blizzard) put me onto it, and I'm not a quick fan of games. But I'm on my second run through Okami and am not tired of it yet.

It really is pretty unique. I do feel with some of he fights that once I have figured out the art of defeating this type of enemy it wouldn't be so bad if I had to do it less than a hundred times...

No kidding, and right at the end you get to do ALL THE BOSS FIGHTS AGAIN. Grumble!

"exploring ancient japan as a wolf made of calligraphy" - oooh? Sounds interesting! Glad you're on the mend, even if it is sore. :| Bionic Ben, hurr hurr.

It's basically amazingly stylish and also really odd.

Also stop giving away my superhero secret identity.

But I'm the super-villain to your superhero. If this was a really, really bad Mary Sue fanfic (*cough*Laurie R King*cough*), then I'd claim I was a descendent of Moriarty.

Moriaty himself being a descendent of the Reichenbach falls.

Bionic Ben indeed -

The plate always feels a little odd, says my mom with screws and a plate in her ankle, but after a while it is more a part of you and less alien.

I guess you just learn to ignore it after a while.

well, I'm glad you're keeping busy. :P

I've been playing the Dr Who game you can download of the BBC website and have been most disappointed to find episode 2 to be really buggy - the doctor walks through walls and falls randomly through the floor.

I'd love a go on a Wii!

Okami is the first game I ever finished :) I played it start to finish in three days. I sold it a while back, when I was saving up for a Wii (I had the PS2 version) and now I'm going to buy the Wii version for the replay value. It's def my favorite game.
