Last night was the last night of the current leg of the tour - we've been doing a lot of gigs over the last couple of weeks and it's going to be really nice to have a bit of a break and take a breather. It's amazing how much work is involved in something that we do ostensibly for fun and it will be good news for me to concentrate on the kind of work that brings an income but we've played some great venues and I've managed to meet up with some cool friends.

Last night in Basingstoke was probably the smallest stage we have been on yet, especially as we had a violinist with us for a couple of tracks, to the point where I actually couldn't move at all being trapped between monitors, drumkit and a wall. Any movement in any direction would have resulted in something being knocked over or broken.

Funnily enough somewhere on the tour I forgot how to play Brand New Plan. I can remember what notes it is but I can't remember where I put my fingers. Half way through playing it (possibly in Bath) I suddenly thought "how do I usually do this?" and that was it, I had no idea. The strange thing is that it seems to have dislodged the way I used to play it from my brain and I'm going to have to practice a bit and try and rework it. Very curious.
