In the last twenty-four hours I have learned a surprisingly large amount. You will be glad to hear that old plasticine can be revived by mixing in a bit of vaseline, then adding a drop of olive oil and microwaving the lot for about 30 seconds. I also found that wax can be used successfully to create a mould for plaster and that plaster needs more than 24 hours to dry. It can still be used as a mould for latex when it is wet, but you have no leverage to get the wax out from the plaster- the best way to do this is to put the whole thing in the oven for a while until the wax becomes soft and malleable, but before it starts melting. Then it should start coming out cleanly in big chunks.

Also, leaving a piece of 2x2 wood in a gas oven switched to gas mark 8 is likely to leave the wood scorched and smoking. I think I should probably have thought that one through before I put it in there, but sometimes these lessons stick better when they are learned the hard way.

I am now officially excited about the gathering, although nervous of the fact that I will have to leave our collection of assorted weapons in the office for the day- the alternative is to leave them in the car and risk cooking them. Shanks will be sadly missed- I'm just hoping that it was my absence that made the first moot a massacre and not his. If it was his absence we could be in for a bumpy ride. Some might say that it was more to do with who got assassinated at moot 1, but that sounds profoundly unlikely to me.

Apparently the chances of mud are good, so that is nice.

The other excitement of tomorrow is going back to the studio to re-record one of my bass lines because Rob erased it by accident because he is a numpty. He blames the "Sequoia Effect" which apparently breaks his equipment and makes him do stupid things. I have never seen him working with any other band, so I have to assume he is always like that.

Lou is engaged in the vital task of making chocolate brownies. They are a talent of hers and they are making the house smell very good, or at least as good as it is likely to with a latex face prosthetic drying in the living room.
