So with the help of another angel in shining armour ( I may have mixed my metaphors there, I'm not sure ) we have borrowed a lorry that may, with luck, a following wind and a will to travel on his part, take Donk over to meet with Tom and Sarah Widdicombe this weekend.

I really hope it works out. We've put everything we could into this, had some awesome help and it's only fair that sleepsy_mouse get to ride on a clinic too, even if she hasn't been able to take the little Small out for fun and adventures.

So we'll be away until Monday now, I guess, hopefully having fun with Donk, but possibly just spectating if it all still goes pear shaped...

Og good, I'm so glad you guys were able to find another lorry. I hope it all goes well for you guys! Looking forward to pictures of Donk & sleepsy_mouse riding him. :-)

They were, and then they weren't again.... no clinics for me, it seems....

Just before we were due to leave on Thursday (and about half an hour after the vet had left from seeing small) Donk came in from the field with two very swollen back legs. Not lame, but obviously not comfortable, and obviously not in a fit state to go anywhere.

I gave him some painkillers and left him out overnight to see if he was going to walk it off, but he was no better this morning, so the vet came back and now Donk is on antibiotics and anti-inflamatories.

Fingers crossed he'll be a bit better in a couple of days.
