Good for back
1 May 2008 23:21I went to the chiropractor today. Judging by how much manipulation she had to do I think my skeleton must have been back to front. One of the nice things about our chiro is that she also runs a stud specialising in Dales ponies. It being the time of year it is there are some little ones around too and her daughter ( who also helps out with the back repairs ) offered me some introductions.
Happily I had my camera with me, although I only got decent pictures of two of the three foals I met as the third one was busy having a drink and then eating mum's poo so he wasn't being ever so photogenic.

Phantom is small and inquisitive and wants to play bitey games with everyone.

Trying to work out why mum is so interested in this green stuff by numbling on a sorrel leaf. His mum is going to the Royal Windsor Show next weekend- as you can see they've started the grooming already.

Fred is not a Dales, his mum is Thoroughbred/Irish Daft cross his dad is a Holsteiner- he looks like he's got a lot of dad's warmblood looks about him.

Fred was bravest of the foals and came over to say hello and be whiskery and inquisitive at me. Very cute indeed.
My parents have gone away for a couple of weeks so we are looking after their house and their puppy ( technically she's more of a young dog by this point ) for them. We were supposed to be off at Badminton now but it's looking increasingly unlikely we'll get there at all -
sleepsy_mouse is pretty ill tonight and I don't think she'll be up to very much this weekend.
