I keep getting flashes of deja-vu accompanied by a powerful feeling of impending disaster. It's very disconcerting.

It's also something that seems to happen from time to time, particularly when I'm stressed, and so far the sense of impending doom has never been fulfilled in any respect. It's hard to discount a feeling of impending doom, though, even when you're well aware it's largely spurious.

I suspect the cold that seems to be coming on isn't helping much either.

We spent most of the afternoon playing with the ponies- both were ever so good and I finished by doing a little bit of liberty work with Zorro:

He was being ever so good, really with me.

He's being quite friendly and affectionate at the moment, which is really nice but leaves me slightly suspicious that either he's ill or he's planning something...

that scares me. i've been having really vivid nightmares lately... and usually that precedes something awful happening. eep!

When I get this it comes with cold certainty that something is going to go terribly wrong. This time I even get brief images of cars rolling over, horses falling, things like that, but experience has taught me that my premonitions are absolutely inaccurate, so probably now is the time to be buying lottery tickets...

Your unconscious must be picking up on something that it thinks is threatening or unsettling. With me, it could even just be something new or changes on the horizon.

I often had a dream about drowning until I linked to feelings of anxiety and feeling I was not in control of my own life. Once I realized the cause I was able to change the dream to where I escaped.

Hopefully, it's all a tempest in a teacup. :)

Colds= rubbish. I have one too. Remember, it is Blue Monday today- the day when we are meant to feel at our absolute worst! It's probably that.

Or this time the Flying Spaghetti Monster really is coming...

That probably doesn't help either. I'm provisionally blaming the cold at the moment. It's not really bad as yet, just one of those really annoying ones with the blocked up head and the permenant vague sore throat and bad taste at the back of your mouth. Hopefully it won't turn to fully-fledged man-flu.

I hate getting de ja vu, get it much less these days than I used to. Could be because of the gloomy weather we have been having. It has been a loooooong spell of gloomy cloudyness and it is playing tricks with peoples minds, I'm sure of it.

And let's not forget the rain. And the dark. And it's not even February yet, when things get really depressing.

I get insane amounts of deja vu, with the occasional premonition of it (very hard to explain) and I got those horrible feelings when I was younger. Hope it passes and doesn't come to anything!

Also...I love that hat!

I feel it's important not to take oneself too seriously I find. My hat reminds me of that...

Horses are a valuable education in humility. Zorro is like singing in the car- when it's only me around he's 50% better to work with than if anyone else is in earshot...

I usually get deja vu in a non-violent way. Just a universal "here's your check-in point, turns out you're still on track" kind of a feeling.

I have had premonitions of something bad happening before disaster struck, but it's not deja vu with me, more of a warning or notification "hey, this is headed down the pike, prepare for it, incoming" you know?

I would guess it really is just your stress as I am often prone to making up disastrous scenarios myself when under stress...everything from horses dying to family members falling sick...but really its just my body's way of saying "slow down and REST or I will retaliate!!!"

:-)

Feel better...some echinacea perhaps?

Echinacea! That's what I needed to remember to take!

I am trying to use it, but I keep forgetting...
