Patch, relocated

glenatronSince Joe had to go back into horsepital we've been very aware that he really couldn't stay on the yard where he's been living any more. He needs to be off the sand once and for all - another attack like the last one would very probably be the end of him.
After a lot of thinking and many deeply generous offers, we decided to take him over to live with our friend Kerin, Zorro's owner, who runs a livery yard near Tunbridge Wells. It's a couple of hours drive but we know he'll get the best of care and he'll be able to live out with her two mares in a well sheltered field with good grass, which will be pretty much Joe's idea of heaven.

sleepsy_mouse leading and me standing behind and pushing him ) and took him over to his new home. I suspect that there will be a full update from sleepsy_mouse when she's ready, but I got a set of pictures just after he arrived which are perhaps the photos I'm most proud of from all the ones I've taken.
It's sad that he's far away and we don't get to see our patchy pony every day, but I think he's going to do just fine there and at the end of the day, having a happy Joe is most important of all.
