What makes me sad

The brakes on my car were making a funny noise so I took it to the cheap'n'cheerful brake fixing place. Turns out it needs new brakes everywhere, a new caliper on one side and two new front tyres. The cheery and helpful mechanic showed me all the problems and he was quite obviously right, even to a non technical type like myself. We're left with no working cars and although I will get change out of five hundred quid, it won't be enough to pay for my taxi fare to the garage.

Lucky it's not coming up to the most expensive time of year, eh?
