What a great weekend! We rode our respective horses on Saturday, then dashed along the M4 for a pun-laden murder mystery night at Gwyn and Lucy's house (first time we have visited them since they moved in, which is somewhat remiss ) where I was playing the mysterious indian wife of

hopkinssj2000's American missionary. I wasn't really expecting to have to do an indian accent, but fortunately I was able to create one of uncanny accuracy that any linguist would have recognised as coming from the valleys of the Punjab, not far from the ancient Raj capital of Merthyr Tydfil.

When we got back from wales we went directly over to the yard and, the weather being sunny and pleasant, we decided to take the ponies for a walk, taking them down to the stream at the bottom of the valley, near where they live. We were expecting them to be a little nervous of going into the water but in the event they strolled cheerfully into the stream, drinking, splashing and generally seeming very happy to be there.

In spite of the fact that I have been sneezing like a shanks in summer all day and I'm now feeling very sleepy, the combination of friends I've not seen in too long, good weather and cheerful horses has been a great reminder of the good things in life.
