So last night we played in Leicester- really nice venue, slightly dubious combination of acts and the good size stage was entirely compromised by the fact we were first on so there were several bands worth of amplification which left me with a tiny corner such as one might have in a small pub. Three hours driving each way for a 30 minute set, but so it goes...

Tonight we are playing at The Horn in St Albans, which is probably less dodgy than it's name suggests and then on Friday we play Reading Uni supporting the rather excellent I Am Kloot who I actually already have some stuff by (or at least had, until it got nicked from my car) - I think that may be the first time we have supported a band I already owned music by, so it's pretty cool.

The Horn is basically a big pub where one room is a concert hall of sorts. They have bands every night and I guess the stage is ok. Most people will probably be at least vaguely interested since they will have paid to get in.

The problem with the place tends to be that it fills up with wankers just after eleven on account of the late licence, but then I used to go on Saturdays.

The horn is cool
I've seen loads of good gigs there (including the UK Subs) and I snogged an old lady

I'm not sure I want to go there now. What if the building has somehow retained traces of that trauma?

I was impressed by that too. Chris, our guitarist, was like "they sound a bit boring". I believe my witty and decisive retort was along the lines of "you're a dick."

I'll say it again
